About Me

Hi, my name is Sam and I'm something of a car fanatic. Whether it be appreciating the simple beauty of a Lotus Elan S1 or racing flat out in 100cc go-karts, I'm passionate about most things on four-wheels.

My friends will tell you that I take far too much pleasure from the sound of a raspy exhaust note. My parents will tell you I'm obsessed. But me, I'm just happy to simply call myself a proper petrolhead. Welcome to my blog.

As a University of Leeds graduate who then achieved a Distinction in MA Automotive Journalism from Coventry University, I joined evo Magazine as a staff writer in September 2014. After 15 months there I have now joined Autocar as a senior staff writer, so my latest work can be found in the mag and on autocar.co.uk. This blog will be a permanent home for older work - check out my Portfolio and Road Tests pages.
